Girls Aloud: 'Can't Speak French'

A typically ballsy Xenomania concoction, all shuffling beats, sad, lovely melodies and a bassline that buzzes like a horny bee, it finds the girls at their glummest, desperately trying to impress a guy who turns their "dust to gold" but doesn't realise it. With enough swoons and sighs to keep even a Mills & Boon reader happy, it's the best exercise in pop melancholy since, well, 'Call The Shots'.

Haven't heard the single yet and this is a bit off topic, but what the heck has happened to Nadine's legs? toothpicks is not a sexy look yet she always gets the shortest skirts!

Great song. It shows the more grown up Girls Aloud and totally wipes the floor with the vapid 'Call The Shots'.

This is one of their better songs. I must say it is a good one to follow on from Call The Shots and it's a surefire Top 10 hit. Go Girls Aloud!!!!!

I liked the original version better, but radio is ok too. Probably, Call the shots was better, but still I'll give the single 5 points, cause I'm a big Girls Aloud supporter and they are really cool at what they are doing. I daresay, better then the Sugababes now.

This is a rather dreary song. Not the best I've heard from them I'm afraid.

I love it. Very catchy and much better than Call the Shots, which was dire IMO
