Jordin Sparks, the 18-year-old warbler from Phoenix, Arizona who nabbed last year's Idol crown, looks likely to double that figure. Her debut single 'Tattoo' is a synth-heavy R&B ballad produced by Norwegian duo Stargate (Beyoncé's 'Irreplaceable', Chris Brown's 'With You'): low on originality, but, thanks to some affecting lyrics about a hard-to-forget ex, surprisingly likable. Best of all, Sparks' caterwauling over the final stretch should have a certain Miss Lewis practicing her scales in fear - well, almost.

I love Jordin Sparks! She's a great artist and an amazing singer - anyone who saw American Idol 6 last year would know. I've got the album and i have to say that i thoroughly enjoy it (REPEAT!). It has a good mix of genres and not even one song is a let down! I have two favourite songs. The first has to be NO AIR feat Chris Brown- its Fantabulous! and has the potential to be a big hit over here. The second is NOW YOU TELL ME - its the gem of the album! I wish Jordin the best of luck here and hope that she receives the praise that she deserves!

I really liked this girl when I watched last years Idol, she has a great voice and is a really likable character. I can't help but feel a little let down by this track though. It's a disappointing choice to try and enter the Uk charts for the first ti9me, I can only assume that once again the Americans have decided that we are not a choosy lot over this side of the pond and that we will buy into anything they send our way. I will be buying Miss Sparks album but certainly shant be botherring with this single, it seems a little dated to me. I woiuld like to wish Jordin loads of luck for her future though, and hope that next time her management make a better informed choices for her in teh future.
