It's not hard to see why, because it's essentially the classic R&B slow jam given a gleaming 2008 makeover. The lover-man lyrics and bump 'n' grind rhythm are the same as ever, but writer/producer Polow Da Don cranks up the drama with some massive, space age synths and plenty of post-'Umbrella' "eys". A gruff rap from Young Jeezy boosts its credentials too, adding a nice bit of grit to proceedings. Hardly the most original of comeback singles, especially considering how long Usher's been away, but this does sound very, very now.
