Wiley: 'Wearing My Rolex'
Pioneer of London's grime scene, mentor of Dizzee Rascal, leading light of the Roll Deep collective (remember their hit 'The Avenue' from a few summers ago?), Richard 'Wiley' Cowie has more than paid his dues to British urban music. Now he's about to get his just desserts: a bona fide chart smash.

'Wearing My Rolex' is a brilliant piece of urban club pop, melding fat house beats, a rubbery electro bassline and a sample from DSK's dance classic 'What Would We Do?' to hip-shaking effect. Over this surprisingly buoyant "electro-grime" soundtrack, Wiley offers a cautionary tale, remembering the time that a dancefloor tryst cost him his favourite timepiece. A sorry state of affairs for sure - but, thanks to this track, he'll be able to afford a new one soon enough.
