Beyoncé's one of the biggest stars on the planet, Kelly Rowland has released a couple of fantastic singles recently and now Michelle Williams, the third point on the Destiny's Child triangle, is gunning for the charts. Almost a bit greedy, isn't it?

Michelle's previous albums were sober, gospelly affairs, but she's described her new one, Unexpected, as a "dance-Euro-club-pop type of album". We're not entirely sure what that phrase means, but each of its constituent elements - dancing, Europe, clubs and pop music - are reasonably appealing, so we're happy to give Michelle the benefit of the doubt.

The lead single, 'We Break The Dawn', is about hitting the town and shaking your rump "til' the morning light". As Destiny's Child solo singles go, it isn't quite 'Work', but it's much, much better than 'Baby Boy' and 'Check On It'. There's no UK release date yet, but our friend at Michelle's label reckons it's likely to be out some time in August.
