More Lily for free

Lily Allen treated us to two new songs back in April, gave us one more a couple of weeks ago, and now's she posted another new song on her MySpace page. It's called 'Who'd of Known' and according to Lily it won't be appearing on her new album. "I ripped off the chorus from Take That," she explains in typically matter-of-fact fashion, "And I can't be bothered with the paperwork."

That's a bit of a shame, because what 'Who'd Of Known' lacks in grammatical accuracy it makes up for in sweet, tender electroballady goodness. It's a song about a relationship that takes Lily by surprise by actually going pretty well. "Who'd have known that when you flash up on my phone I'd no longer feel alone", she sings on the chorus, which, in case you were wondering, does sound rather like 'Shine'.

We're really enjoying all four of Lily's new songs, actually, but there's one thing that's troubling us slightly. Lily recently revealed she's calling her new album Stuck On The Naughty Step, in reference to Supernanny of course, and 'Who'd Of Known' is probably the first song in pop history to name-check A Place In The Sun. Hmm... Is Miss Allen becoming obsessed with Channel 4's factual entertainment output? And, if so, has she seen Personal Services Required yet?

What do you think of 'Who'd Of Known'? Are you looking forward to Lily's new album? Use the space below to have your say.
