What is Madonna's best ever single?

She won't thank us for reminding you, but Madonna's going to be turning 50 in a couple of weeks. To celebrate this milestone, DS will be running a week's worth of special features on the Queen of Pop - galleries, videos, a buyers' guide to her albums, a recap of her romantic history, even a discussion of her ill-fated movie career. We're calling it... wait for it... Madonna Week and it begins on August 11.

Who are we going to vote for? Well, that would be telling, but rest assured it won't be 'American Pie'. 'Hanky Panky' is a bit of a long-shot too, all things considered.
