Madonna stirs up lots and lots of controversy

We've been celebrating Madonna's 50th birthday all week on Digital Spy - well, the Queen of Pop would expect nothing less, would she? - and the big day is finally here. Many happy returns, Mrs. Ritchie, you don't look a day over 39! Anyway, we've just got time for one last classic Madge video here on The Sound.
And it's the big one - the promo clip for 'Like A Prayer'. The actual plot of the video, in which Madonna sees a man being falsely arrested for murder, has a bit of a religious moment and then decides to testify in his favour, tends to get forgotten. Which is really no surprise, seeing as we've got burning crosses, stigmata and Madonna kissing what may or may not be a black Jesus to feast our eyes on. She doesn't do anything by halves, does she?
Wow.
What do you think of 'Like A Prayer'? Does it deserve its title as the 'Most Groundbreaking Music Video Of All Time'? Use the space below to have your say.

I love the video, and Madonna should keep making the ground-breaking barrier pushing videos, thats why we love her!

Madonna has many videos that were very creative and stirring, Like a Prayer was genius. It was ground breaking, unique, and the impact of it can never be captured again.
