And now Dido's back too...

First Coldplay did it. Then Keane gave it a go. Now Dido's getting in on the act. What are we talking about? Why, the free-download-as-album-teaser, of course! Dido Florian Cloud de Bounevialle O'Malley Armstrong - see why she prefers just the one name? – revealed today that she's releasing her new album, Safe Trip Home, in November. To set the promotional wheels in motion, she's giving away a track from the album on her official website now.

It's called 'Look No Further' and it's a spare, modest piano ballad about finding contentment. Dido begins by listing all the things she might have been – including, rather bizarrely, "a poet who walked upon the moon" - before acknowledging that her life's just fine as it is because she's found her soulmate. "I can stop and catch my breath," she sings, "And look no further for happiness."

This track doesn't sound like a radio smash, but then again it's not meant to - she's going to release a proper single called 'Don't Believe In Love' before the album comes out. But 'Look No Further' does confirm that Dido hasn't lost her knack for presenting ordinary, easy to relate to sentiments in an intimate and appealing way. Shall we call it another ten million album sales?

I am look forward to Dido's upcoming album release in November. Her new song, Look No Further, though not the typical "radio smash hit" is evidence that she has not lost what bought her to everyone's attention all those years ago. She still has a lot to say and such an elloaquant way of saying it.

This album was originally penned for release nearly two years ago and is obviously extremely anticipated. As for the free track, 'Look No Further' - i think it is a really peaceful, mellow track which shows that she hasn't lost her knack from producing similar material on her previous albums. The music has wide appeal and if the giveaway track is any indication of the quality of the album, it seems that 'Safe Trip Home' will be one to look forward to.

Delighted to hear that Dido is FINALLY back! Boy does she take her time! Her last album was absolutely brill, wasn't to keen on her from her debut single Here With Me, Thank You was amazing, totally won me over! It's hard to believe 5 years have passed. I can actually remember the chart the week White Flag debuted at 2, it was held off by the Black Eyed Peas Where Is The Love! The market has changed a lot in the past 5 years, it will be interesting to see how her third album will do. If it's half as good as Life For Rent it will be a more than decent album!
