What are the Kaisers banging on about now?

The Kaiser Chiefs have never been afraid of a bit of social commentary and their new single is no exception. It's called 'Never Miss A Beat' and it's all about... wait for it... The Youth Of Today. Specifically? Well, the apathy they show towards school, learning and generally getting off their arses and doing anything meaningful with their lives. "What did you learn today? I learned nothing," goes the opening line and what follows is very much in the same vein.

Though it's produced by Mark Ronson, there's not a horn to be heard here - in fact, 'Never Miss A Beat' is as noisy as the Kaiser Chiefs have ever been. Nor does it have the mindlessly catchy chorus that turned 'Ruby' and 'I Predict A Riot' into radio favourites/ festival anthems - which may or may not be a good thing, depending on whether you thought the catchiness outweighed the mindlessness, or vice versa.
