Thankully, the uber-hyped 'Womanizer' is worth the kerfuffle. It's a stomping robopop song that would fit quite comfortably onto last year's Blackout album - definitely a good thing.
Britney's voice, less treated/vocodered/generally dicked around with than on recent singles, sounds deeper than you might remember. "You got the swagger of champions," she tells the titular philanderer. "Too bad for you, you just can't find the right companion." Zing indeed!
Truth be told, 'Womanizer' isn't quite as jawdropping as 'Gimme More' was on first listen, but with the Britney comeback bandwagon rolling on merrily, it's easily strong enough to give her a sixth number one. Bring on the album.

A word of advice Britney, when you do a live tour, you are supposed to sing LIVE!!! not lip synch to a backing track. But then maybe it's because you can't sing live. Another bland, by the numbers, just the same as everything else she's ever done tune. Utter drivel!!!!

Britney was robbed last time round with Gimme More and Piece Of Me, 2 of her greatest efforts ever, not charting at number 1. Lets right some wrongs and get Britney back where she belongs. With a bit of promotion hopefully this single will achieve that, along with the new album!

'Womanizer' is absolutely amazing. I'm so happy Britney's finally back and she truly deserves to be the hit #1 in the entire world. And Nick Levine's title of the article is right, "Birtney's back with a bang"!

Love Britney!! Blackout was an awesome album shadowed by her personal life. Hopefully if she can promote this more including the X factor etc then this will be another no.1 for her, go Britney!!

Absolutely brilliant tune, I'd LOVE to see this hit number 1 both here and in America and with her X Factor appearance and this song I beleive she can do it! Shes come so far in a year and deserves a hell of a lot of respect for it!
