Listen to Lily Allen's new single
Published Tuesday, Dec 2 2008, 12:45 GMT | By Nick Levine | 13 comments
We first wrote about Lily Allen's new single back in April when it appeared on her MySpace page. Since then it's changed its name from 'I Don't Know' to 'The Fear' and been spruced up a bit, but it's still the same brilliant electropop track on which Lily takes a few swipes at celebrity culture. The "weapon of massive consumption" line is probably our favourite.
You can listen to 'The Fear' by braving a not-so-subtle plug for the album and pressing play below.
What do you think of 'The Fear'? How does it measure up to Lily Allen's past singles? Use the space below to have your say.

Fantastic hook, great lyrics, it has something to say, bang on about todays celebs. This just blew me away when I heard it whilst driving.

Heard it on Radio2 on the way home from work - courtesy of Maconie & Radcliffe. Didn't realise it was her to begin with - because it's so brilliant - and grown-up. I'm not a fan, but I'll buy this single because it's excellent. Just goes to show - most pop singers have got at least one great song in them. Hopefully, she'll maintain this standard. Good luck to her.

At age 51 I have every right to say how today's music stinks and the old days were better. But in the last 2 years with the all the varied and original female singers-songwriters coming out of the U.K. I can't say that. I loved Allright Still but everything I have heard from the new album shows that Allen has grown as a person and an artist. A song about celebrity culture has never been more timely. Allen has already made history with myspace . If she can truly get past this years public post miscarriage disasters she has the potential to break out of the talented British Female Invasion pack to become a truly groundbreaking multimedia figure.
