Good news for GaGa, meh news for Saturdays

The post-Christmas lull is finally over, so it's time to find out what's happening in the first proper midweek charts of 2009.

  • Lady GaGa's debut single 'Just Dance' looks likely to replace Alexandra Burke's 'Hallelujah' at number one. GaGa's selling over 50% more than Burke at the moment.

  • James Morrison's slow-burning 'Broken Strings' is on course to climb into the top three on Sunday.

  • Beyoncé's 'Single Ladies', which isn't even an official single in the UK, is poised to sneak into the top ten.

  • The Saturdays are currently a kitten's whisker outside the top ten with third single 'Issues'.

  • Britney Spears's 'Circus', which isn't out until February 16, is already powering into the top 30.

  • However, a week before its full release, Girls Aloud's 'The Loving Kind' is still hovering just outside the top 30.

  • Coolio's 'Gangsta's Paradise' - a number one in 1995 - looks likely to re-enter the top 40 on Sunday. Hmm... can anyone think why?

  • Does Lady GaGa deserve to make number one? Can The Saturdays climb into the top ten by the end of the week? Use the space below to have your say.
