B-side Of The Week: Beyoncé's Redtop Remix

Published Friday, Feb 13 2009, 06:44 GMT | By David Balls | 3 comments
The airwaves are being taken over by soppy love songs and the restaurants are packing out with gushing couples celebrating Valentine's Day, but the unattached among us aren't being forgotten. Why? Because this weekend all the single ladies (all the single ladies, all the single ladies...) will be hitting the town and there's only one tune they really want to hear.

This is why our B-side of the Week is the Redtop Remix of Beyoncé's 'Single Ladies'. Opening with a grinding bassline that pulsates through your body and pretty much forces you onto your feet, it's clear that Sasha just got even fiercer. Essentially this remix takes an already brazen, brassy pop song and injects it with an extra large dose of attitude, giving the track a whole new lease of life. Considering how long 'Single Ladies' has been knocking around for now, that's no mean feat.

In fact, it might even be good enough to make all the single ladies forget that the only thing they'll be going home with at the end of the night is half a kebab. You can hear the full version on the 'Single Ladies' download bundle, out on Monday, but for now here's a 30-second taster:
