B-side of the Week: Kleerup's 'Tower'

Believe it or not, but it's been nearly two years since Kleerup and Robyn paired up for their emotionally resonant number one 'With Every Heartbeat'. Thankfully, the Swedish producer is finally back with a follow-up - and he certainly hasn't disappointed. In fact, so taken are we with 'Longing For Lullabies' that we've got our mitts on the B-side.

Taken from his upcoming debut album, 'Tower Of Trellick' is an ambient slice of electronica named after a grim, brutalist-style block of flats in west London. There's little in this offering that conjures up brutal or grim images though - it actually works nicely as a soothing, gently grinding antidote to the lovelorn 'Longing For Lullabies'.

His album includes further collaborations with the likes of Lykke Li and Neneh Cherry, but 'Tower' neatly demonstrates that Kleerup doesn't have to hide behind a trendy pop princess to prove his worth. The full version is available on the 'Longing For Lullabies' CD single, but for now here's a 30-second clip:
