The Saturdays get to work!

Published Wednesday, May 27 2009, 09:41 BST | By David Balls | 18 comments
It seems to have been a while in the making, but The Saturdays have finally unleashed the video to their latest single 'Work'. As with their previous visual offerings, the girls show how to make the most of a budget that probably didn't extend to tea and biscuits for the backing dancers.

Adopting the classic girlband-in-a-warehouse theme, the ladies strut their stuff down a makeshift catwalk, tease the camera seductively and even attempt a few risqué dance moves. This video won't set the world alight with its dazzling originality, but it nicely complements a real thumper of a song.

Una is very underused in this and its ridic unoriginal but then it suits the song quite well. wind machines are hilarious.

Not impressed, I was waiting soo long for this and this is what I get, a bunch of girlstrying to dance in a dark abandon warehouse, not good. The songs not great either!

It's like a cross between the videos for Sound of The Underground and Pure and Simple - i.e. not great.

And if anyone stars talking sh*te about how they cant sing and dance then look at the facts, there currently the only strongest all singing all dancing girlband out there at the mo seein as girls aloud only have 1 strong singer and non of them dance that strongly and the pussycat dolls rely on nicole to sing so that doesnt really count.

Vids amazing and it shows they can all sing and dance, personally i think there better than girls aloud. even tho girls aloud are more well known. cant wait to see them in london :)

i love it cos its alot of mollie and i like her she seems more down to earth than the other girls

This single is being released during the summer so I think they should have chosen a brighter setting for the video rather than a dark, run-down warehouse but there is no denying the song is catchy!!:)

It looks like they're lighting their farts in this video. Similar to the vid for Hear'say Pure and Simple.
Nick Wright - Manchester, on May 27th, 2009
Great vid girls! Still loving Mollie the most! Shes great! x All looking stunning again! All the people giving off negative comments below... well... your either jealous or completely retarded! Great work girls! keep it up! :D

I thought the video for this song was going to be better. I am really disappointed with it. I mean I know it's going to be another top five smash. But do not like it the video but the song is their best so far. P.S.: The Saturdays can't dance and Mollie and Rochelle stunning in this video.
Gareth, Southampton, on May 27th, 2009
I love the video although I do prefer the Up and Just Can't Get Enough videos. I expect this will be another top 10 hit, if not top 5.
Alex, Streatham, on May 27th, 2009
This is a really poor video. The video for ‘Up’ was excellent, it was simple but really effective. ‘Issues’ was cheesy and the girls looked like they were making an advert for a catalogue flogging cheap clothes rather than a music video. ‘Work’ conjures up similar images. It is cliché ridden, cheap looking and simply not good enough in 2009. They will run into trouble if they don’t sort it out for the second album. Next!

They are maturing into hot sexy ladies! Great song, not sure about frankie's long hair right across her face, prefered it shorter.
Cindy, Northolt, on May 27th, 2009
LOVIN' IT!!!! Frankie's The Best

I didn't think much of the song the first couple of times I heard it. But the video does work and I think it's growing on me.

Dark and grimy, love it. Good move to get some lads in to do the dancing instead!
