Got room for a new girlband in your life?

If so, allow us to introduce Daizy, Jess and Phoebe, known collectively as Girls Can't Catch. They're the new group from Fascination Records, the home of Girls Aloud and The Saturdays. They supported the former on their recent 'Out Of Control' tour, but their debut single strays closer to the latter's territory. It's called 'Keep Your Head Up', it's a big, chunky slab of electropop whose chorus really burrows into your brain after two or three plays, and it enriches the English language with a brand new word: "romantasies". The video - which features the girls playing croquet in a rubbish dump and, if you ask us, has a bit of the Bananarama to it – appears for your viewing pleasure below.
In case you were wondering, yes, you have seen Phoebe somewhere before.

It's ok. not the best song ever but yea it's pretty good. Does sound very much like something the Saturdays would sing. I miss when girlbands used to dance in their music videos.

The song is OK i guess, but the video is dull and boring, especially in comparison with videos from other artists on the same label.

Zero star quality. Fascination Records, and its parent label Polydor are home to a lot of my favourite music but this is dross.

"Girls Can't Catch". Not a great name, I don't think. I think they sound too similar to The Saturdays.

I knew Phoebe could do better than Hope but I thought she'd do better than this. It really does sound like a Saturdays demo or something. Video makes no sense either. It's so annoying when you get a new band like The Saturdays, that are a bit different and are quite successful, then these record companies just churn out endless copies to line their pockets.

Could there be a more corporate-devised band? The name Girls Can't Catch was name considered for The Saturdays well over a year ago, and this song sounds like the demo for Up!. Fascination usually get it right, but in this instance they've got it so wrong.
