Good news for Taio Cruz, Jay-Z, Madonna

It's difficult trying to do anything but listen to old Sugababes songs this morning, but life goes on and all that, so here's your first chart bulletin of the week.
Taio Cruz is on course for a second week at No.1 with 'Break Your Heart'. At present, his nearest challenger is Jay-Z and Alicia Keys' 'Empire State Of Mind'.
Having slipped since Sunday, Shakira's 'She Wolf' is now just outside the top five.
Heading in the other direction is Lady GaGa's 'LoveGame', which has finally cracked the top 20.
Basshunter's 'Every Morning' is also inside the top 20... but only just.
Jade Ewen's 'My Man' - the pop single equivalent of a cat the owners didn't bother to take with them when they moved house - is inside the top 30.
Over on the albums chart, Madonna's in the lead with Muse and Dizzee Rascal behind her. Mika's in the top five too.

No more Kings Of Leon re-entries please! I find nothing wrong with the band and their singles, but all this X Factor hype is starting to affect our charts with dozens of re-entries - just because someone performs a song very well on the show. It's not fair on those who are trying to crack the top 40. Anyway, good luck on Taio Cruz again!

I'm happy about 'Break Your Heart' being up there for 2 weeks as there really is not anything else to compete with it at the moment. But what the hell do you mean with My Man being 'the pop single equivalent of a cat the owners didn't bother to take with them when they moved house'? I love that song!!!!

as much as i like Break Your Heart, i'm rooting for Jay-Z & Alicia, because Empire State Of Mind is such a huge song and i think it really deserves no.1! but that will probably depend largely on whether radio stations decide to start playing it now, or wait until it gets released as a single - which i assume is a long way off yet. this is what annoys me about downloads! i hope Mika's album does well too - not that i have it yet, should be getting it friday :)

would prefer shakira to have gained the top spot this week but i'm not bovvered if taio stays there for a second week as jay z dosen't desrve another number 1. Very slow Love game has been dropping and climbing bEvery week debuting at 33 then climbing to 27 before dropping down to 31 and climbing back up to 29 and then inching 4 places to 25, fingers crossed for top 10. Jade Ewen is shite and so is basshunters new one, glad they as low as they are. SHOCKED madonna is number one on album charts due to me thinking that everyone has already got them all. It looks like the top five from next week will look like a Basement Jaxx & Sam Sparro - Taio Cruz - Jay-Z & Alicia Keys affair. At the moment, Taio Cruz is still hanging on at number one for another week with people still listening to him. But it looks like future no.1's from Alexandra Burke on the 12th of October with 'Bad Boy' and Cheryl Cole's 'We Fight For This Love' and N-Dubz's 'I Need You'.
