Robbie Williams gets remixed

With X Factor fever kicking into full swing and Alexandra Burke, Cheryl Cole and Leona Lewis all vying for No.1 over the next few weeks, most popstars would rather take an early Christmas break than face the competition. But three years since his last record, Robbie is back and mounting a challenge for pole position.
Comeback single 'Bodies' is probably the best thing he's recorded in half a decade, so we were keen to hear what Fred Falke - remixer of choice for La Roux, Mini Viva, Little Boots and Ladyhawke - would do with it. Aaaaand... let's just say we're far from disappointed with the outcome.
With its zappy synths, sped-up chorus and liberal use of filter-shifting, Falke's remix is a perky and energetic re-imagining that's bound to do the business on the dancefloor. The full version is available on the 'Bodies' download bundle, available from Monday, but here's a 60-second snippet for now:

nice remix, although i've never been a huge fan of remixes in general. i think Bodies is great, i know not everyone has taken to it but it's a big song and worthy of being a comeback single in my opinion!

I can't see this version being played in any decent club. It just doesn't work. Fred Falke is not a very good remixer to be honest..he seems to take elements from brilliant remixers like Seamus Haji and turns them into an unholy mess. Although it's sometimes hard to make a silk purse out of a sows ear I suppose.

Bodies is great. Don't particularly care for the remix but i can see it destroying Alexandra Burke when they go head to head next week.

I love Robbie's songs, but I have to say I think this remix is total crap. Best to leave Robbie's songs alone.
