Update: Alexandra, Robbie, Saturdays

Published Wednesday, Oct 14 2009, 11:24 BST | By Nick Levine | 15 comments
Bodies in the Bodhi tree, bodies making chemistry, 'Bodies'... still in the top three? Well, you'd better read on to find out.

  • Alexandra Burke, not unexpectedly given yesterday's sales figures, is holding Robbie Williams into second place.

  • Michael Bublé's 'Haven't Met You Yet' is still waiting on the doorstep of the top five.

  • Tinchy Stryder's 'You're Not Alone' and Jordin Sparks's 'SOS' are both exactly where they were on Sunday.

  • There's slightly better news for Mr Hudson, with 'White Lies' sneaking into the top 20 since yesterday.

  • However, there's still no sign of Eva Simons's 'Silly Boy' or Cascada's 'Dangerous' in the top 40.

  • Over on the albums chart, the top three remains an Editors – Chipmunk – Shakira affair. The Sats, meanwhile, are digging their stilettos in at the edge of the top five.

  • As ever, if you've got any requests for the Friday update, just drop them in the box below and we'll do our best.

Where is Daughtry's What About Now?

Scarlett is right, all the X-Factor related material will do well because it will be plugged to death on that programme. Which basically is one big product placement for Simon and friends. Next up Cheryl Code and Susan Boyle. The bubble will burst one day.

Not surprised really since 'Bodies' is Robbie's worst single in a long time a the GB public tend to buy into almost anything X-Factor related (damn you Simon Cowell!) in droves. Alexandra's undoubtedly a talented singer but I do wonder just how well Bad Boys would do if it were released by a no-name US artist. I doubt it would be posting the kind of sales it is now. Shame about Mr Hudson as I love White Lies and would have liked to see it go Top 10 but I guess my taste in music is pretty out of sync with most other peoples from looking at the Top 40 these days.

Alexandra Burke will see off Robbie Williams especially after his performance on XFactor. Reason why Cascada aren't in the top is coz its total rubbish!

yeah right....Alexandra selling over Robbie....she cant even sing live, she well mimed on the x factor, well Robbie should word in in one for her.....Knebworth, he doesn't need CD sales to prove anything, after all who's got the bigger career, her or him, well i should say who will still be around in ten years....not her, after all he is the number one superstar in Great Britain, and is a singer song writer in his own right, and what is she.....an x factor Kareoke singer, after all isn't that is what the x means on x factor....it means kareoke. I'd like to see her and the other muppets do Knebworth, all of the contestants that have been on it for the past 8 years, would sell it out between them all let alone sepertately. When i went to buy Robbies yesturday, i thought more people were going for robbie more than her, mmm, just goes to show you that the public are so stupid to buy the crap fools that go on x factor, it's about time they knocked that show on the head, and we can have proper music back in the charts just like there was years ago before all the x fact-trash came along, now we know why the top of the pops was scrapped, because it's full of junk from a reality show. Well she wont last, Robbie will always be around, after all hasn't the take that reunion been more around him than even the lads from take that....is he coming is he not....the fools...why would he, he's bigger than them, after all when they split again, who will go solo....erm no one, there crap on there own, he doesn't need them, he has nothing to prove...he's Robbie Williams, not rake that,.....after all their reunion was all about cashing in, even on their own fans. Even their singles haven't been that greating the charts, people want to diss him, but when the press want an interview they will be all...hi Robbie kiss kiss kiss...Robbie should start to use his middle finger more often, and show them who's boss..... come on Robbie, get back down to the old Robbie, and give us another angles , and a big tour. M xx

I would like to know if J-Hud is in the top 40, as well as whether there has been any change for Jordin Sparks.

Glad to see Shakira and the Saturdays are doing well in the album chart - both are very strong albums IMO and considerably better than I thought they would be... Well done to all involved!
