The new Black Eyed Peas video is a beauty

Published Friday, Oct 16 2009, 15:22 BST | By Nick Levine | 17 comments
How on earth do you follow a singles one-two that annexed the Billboard Hot 100 for twenty-six consecutive weeks? The answer, if you're the Black Eyed Peas, is obvious. You release the sweetest, slinkiest song on your album - the one on which Fergie channels early '80s Madonna - and shoot a video that would blow Primeval's CGI budget for an entire series. Fair play to them - if we'd just spent half a year at No.1 in the States, we'd splash the cash on something like this.

What do you think of the 'Meet Me Halfway' video? Do you like the song? Use the space below to have you say.

i've heard the song many times and i haven't been overly impressed with it, but this amazing video really brings out the best in it.

I hear that AJT! A combination of excessive plastic surgery and digital 'touching up' has left Fergie looking barely human here, much less recongnisable! There's been some really heavy work on her voice too, so much so that I thought the Peas had got a guest singer in for the track when I first heard it. On the plus side the song is pretty good and nice to listen to, nothing ground-breaking but will probably score them another number 1 both here and in the US.

She was digitized big time. Thousands of dollars of digital technology took the 10 years off of her that her excessive plastic surgery put on.

Very impressive video, but not really a fan of the song tbh, they definitely should've released 'Missing You' instead of this...

Amazing. Best song and video they have released in their whole career, and they have had some pretty good stuff out.

I cant figure out the b.e.p sometimes they churn out some cheesy crap that seems to rip off other acts then they drop occasional slabs of pop perfection like this. Fergie looks great as a brunette btw.

I was impressed with the quality of the video but was there a storyline? Also I don't think much of the song itself. I don' think this will reach the same success as their previous hits.

Brilliant!!!! the song is ok (the chorus is the best and rapping ok) but the music video is amazing, full of imagination and creativity, graet effects and idea for the video. Their best to date and most artistic to date :D
