Has Cheryl overtaken Alexandra yet?

Let's face it, Kimberley and Nicola are probably posting their "Well done on getting to No.1!" cards as you read – from now until Sunday, it's all about the sales figures.

Well, 'Fight For This Love' has now shifted more than 175,000 copies – that's just 12,000 off 'Bad Boys' seven-day tally from last week.
'Bad Boys' is holding steady in second place though, comfortably ahead of Chipmunk's 'Oopsy Daisy' and Robbie's 'Bodies'.
Whitney Houston's 'Million Dollar Bill' hasn't moved up, down, left, right... it's still just inside the top five.
Cobra Starship's 'Good Girls Go Bad' and Alphabeat's 'The Spell' have each gained a place since yesterday.
A fortnight ahead of release, Black Eyed Peas' 'Meet Me Halfway' is already a couple of places inside the top 20.
Over on the albums chart, the top three still runs Burkey – Bublé – Whitney, while the Paloma Faith platter is on course to crack the top ten on Sunday.
If you've got any requests for the Friday update, just drop them in the box below and we'll respond to as many as possible.

Would love to hear about Whitney's I Didn't Know My Own Strength also. (I hope more people get to hear Whit's version and not Danyl's butchering of it!)

So far Cheryl Cole is the number one contender in England and the week after we'll see to face off Jay Sean for the number one spot in both countries with 'Down' if it will be his first certain U.K. chart-topper in his homeland and Lil' Wayne's first U.K. chart-topper, but he has climbed back to number one in America displacing Britney's '3'. But it would have been great to see Jay Sean to be at number one the week after, but will Cheryl Cole have to face another week at number one - but he will face competition with Cheryl Cole, shifting it is the fastest-selling song of the year so far. But R&B singer Jay Sean has not had a number one over here, i think it could be the first in his homeland.

If there is any change with Alphabeat or BEP by Friday, I would like to know thanks. Happy for Paloma and Cheryl and Whitney. I wonder if Cheryl can get 250k sales by Sunday.

Can you put Whitney's "I Didn't Know My Own Strength" in for Friday. It's been climbing iTunes and has been #25 for the past couple of days so surely it must be in the top 40 nearly?

I like FFTL but yikes, it isn't that good. I hope the sales start to slow down soon, if it beats Poker Face in the year to date sales before the end of the year then, well... that'd be awful.

She can barely sing, the lyrics could have been written by a teen but it's catchy. However we all know that if she wasn't so pretty she wouldn't have a hit, nor would she be a judge on x-factor. fact. It def shouldn't be no:1

Cheryl' s performance on X Factor was dire, she mimed part of the song and was out of tune and sounded strained when she sung the live bit. Of course it's going to be number one, the british public have no taste whatsoever, only drivel gets to number 1 these days. Let's be honest, tyou don't have to shift that many copies to get a number one now so it's hardly major.

I'm so happy Alexandra's album is going to be Number 1. But hope Whitneys goes to number 1 at some stage. She really needs to release " I Didn't Know My Own Strength "

nooooooooo why is it selling so much! it's only because she on the x-factor! it's a joke if it sells more than 1 million copies in all.

If Current Trends Go Cheryl Cole Will Pass Out Her Debut With Girls Aloud with their single sound of the underground which has sold an astonishing 213,000 and garnered the prestigious Christmas number 1 slot in 2002. it would be great to see cheryl pass out her debut with girls aloud
