What's next for Mini Viva?

Published Wednesday, Nov 4 2009, 17:00 GMT | By Nick Levine | 8 comments
'Left My Heart In Tokyo' is one of our favourite debut singles of the year, so we were excited to hear what Mini Viva would offer as a follow-up. Well, it's called 'I Wish', it's another Xenomania production, and it's a lovely slice of melancholy disco-pop with a very karaoke-able "oh-oh-no-oh" chorus. The video appears for your viewing pleasure below and it's certainly not lacking in colour. In fact, if you're anything like us, you'll be left wanting to play retro video games while drinking Panda Pops and binging on Haribo Starmix.

What do you think of 'I Wish'? Does it match the standard of 'Left My Heart In Tokyo'? Use the space below to have your say.

I don't really like the song,It doesn't go anywhere and just plodds along.I think they would look better with a 3rd member for some reason.

For some reason the song reminds me of Aqua. Nice video as well.

aww i love it! reminds me a lot of some of Girls Aloud's songs like Call The Shots and The Loving Kind, but of course they are all Xenomania productions so no-one can call this a rip-off. just a wonderful sweeping pop song, has a really nice feel to it, quite wintery actually, i think - in which case, it seems a nice time to release it. it's not really as production-focused as their debut was, but the girls' performance is better on this in my opinion. they are so cute too! i'm already sold on the album whenever it's out.

Loving the random funkiness of Mini Viva, though I don't think it's as catchy as "Left my <3.." Though maybe it's a grower.. I just keep thinking 'Booty luv' when hearing them, anyone else get that..
