Peter Kay and mates vs. Rihanna

Right then, who's up for a bit of a chart battle? "Me!" "Bring it on!" "Oh, if you insist..."
Peter Kay's 'Children In Need Medley' is holding Rihanna's 'Russian Roulette' off the top spot, with Black Eyed Peas' 'Meet Me Halfway' completing the top three.
Lady GaGa's 'Bad Romance' has inched forward a place since Sunday, but Ke$ha's 'TiK ToK' has neither risen nor fallen.
Pixie Lott's 'Cry Me Out' has cracked the top 15, while 'Sweet Child O' Mine' by Taken By Trees - a.k.a That Lovely Song from the John Lewis ad - is right behind her.
Alicia Keys' 'Doesn't Mean Anything' currently lies between the 20 and 25 posts - and 'No One' has returned the top 40 too.
Over on the albums chart, SuBo's still in pole position after shifting another 81,000 copies of I Dreamed A Dream. Westlife and Take That make up the top three, Lady GaGa's slipped out of the top ten and Rihanna's fallen a place since Sunday.
So, do we want to see Rihanna on top of Peter Kay by the end of the week? Erm... ooh... you know what we're trying to say.

it was pretty much inevitable that Rihanna would be challenging for no.1 this week. is her album now doing better than it was last week as a result? and how is Timbaland's new song doing? i hope Alicia Keys makes the top 10 now that iTunes has FINALLY put her song up.

come on rihanna you can do it by the weekend or the beps could well go back up to #1 with meet me halfway as its climbed since sunday and it is only tuesday so theres still time. That would be quite an achievement for them if that did happen having all 3 singles released this year having two non- concecutive runs at the top

Oh well well, Peter Kay has oversold Rihanna, but Rihanna has only had 1 number one this year - of course, 'Run This Town' with Jay-Z as a sole chart-topper. Well indeedly that Rihanna's 'Russian Roulette' is kept off by Peter Kay and co. Well it looks like Lady GaGa's 'Bad Romance' is on for number one the week after.
