Exclusive: OMG! It's the new Sabrina Washington video

Published Friday, Feb 5 2010, 00:02 GMT | By Nick Levine | 44 comments
We enjoyed seeing her drenched in slime on I'm A Celeb, we enjoyed her trillsome contributions to Mis-Teeq hits like 'All I Want' and 'So-So-So-So-Scandalous', and now we're enjoying her long overdue solo debut. It's called 'OMG' - the "G" stands for "Gosh" as opposed to "God", by the way - and it's an electro-R&B thumper featuring a Snap! sample and no small amount of 'tude.

And the good news doesn't stop there - we've managed to nab the (supremely sassy) video as a Digital Spy exclusive until Monday. Press play below for lots of leg, a Lily Allen lookalike on a leash and - most excitingly of all - a telephone covered entirely in 100s & 1000s.

Sorry but this is my opinion, it's unoriginal and awful. It's a mash up of everything that has been done before. Clap rhythm taken from Sugababes "Get Sexy", Girls in the background dancing taken from Rihanna's "Umbrella", Lady Gaga's sunglasses, eye patches, and the mirror mask. Theres too many effects on her voice, and then a sample from "Rhythm is a dancer", just overproduced c**p.

Well there's 3 minutes of my life i'll never get back.

I love the song and the video is really good, it's nothing like laddy GaGa. I hope Sabrina does well

When done by a Brit it almost seems abit cheap - no reflection on her. It just doesn't seem to work. If Rhianna had done the same song it would be treated completely differently.

OMG I really dont like this. The song is terrible and she seems to be doing the whole Lady GaGa thing, which works for Lady G as she was the first to do it but if anyone else does it now it just looks like poor imatation. She should have went for her own style.

Proper crap

can every1 just quit it with the 'shes tryin to b gaga' nonsense. this is the style of the moment. its like saying each artists is copying eachother! rihanna, beyonce, gaga etc muct all be copying eachother, they arent its just what sells at the moment! its a catchy tune, i really hope it does well 4 her

cool song BUT.... she looked a bit too much like janet, rihanna, beyonce and lady gaga here. but I LOVE THE SONG!!! :D

Well... OMG is one word for it... This chick can actually sing so whats with the Britney style robot voiceover??? Not impressed.

She'll have a more individual look when she performs live, I'm sure. It's a floor filler and great to sing along to with your girl/boyfriends! The "no room for a copy-cat" comment below (Tim is Dim) is stupid. The artists already mentioned all look very much alike, and they're pretty successful. Give SW time, it's her first solo effort... and a good one at that!

love it

RUBBISH!..She can do so much better
Tim, London, on February 6th, 2010
No originality in song, video and style. I'm not saying it's a bad song but she can't compete when she's in a market against Gaga and Beyonce. There's no room for a copy-cat.

i actually love this song, had it on replay this morning! so catchy, i hope it gets support from the main stations and plenty of airplay - she could easily get a top 10 with this!
Chris, Sunderland, on February 6th, 2010
Love it! Really reminds me of Livvi Franc - Now im that B*tch song though
Simon, Leics, on February 5th, 2010
the song sounds like a song for Jamelia/Sugababes, the look is a lady gaga and beyonce hybrid...lacks originality sadly. Average pop copycat sydrome...listenable, likeable but sadly bland.

Don't even bother with the pointless Sabrina vs Alesha and Gaga et al comparisons. In terms of her look/video, they are all at it! Can't blame Sab for playing it safe by going with the current flow of fem artists. The song compensates. Love her endearing confidence and natural beauty.

Everybody....there is that one time....that time when you know- LATOYA'S BACK!! Almost 2 months since my last review and 8,942 followers on Twitter later, I've dusted off the cobwebs and I'm back innit. I look a lot like Sabrina in the video. This track should be a hit, but probably wont. Alesha vs. Sabrina!! Hmmm probably Sabs, she is a bit more ghetto innit :) I love you all.
