Exclusive: Freemasons remix Sophie E-B!

Published Thursday, Apr 15 2010, 12:29 BST | By Nick Levine | 11 comments
They co-wrote and produced the thing, so it's no great surprise that the Freemasons have remixed the new Sophie Ellis-Bextor single too - several times over in fact. The version we're spotlighting now is the Freemasons Radio Mix, which is a bit like your mum 25 years ago in that it's slightly more sparkly and '80s-ish than the version you're used to. (But just as lovable of course). Anyway, just press 'play' below to watch the official remix video - it's a DS exclusive, don't you know - and, if you like what you hear, this version of the track's going to be available on both the 'Bittersweet' digital EP and the 7" single.

Oh and by the way, have you read our interview with Mademoiselle E-B herself?

What do you think of the Freemasons Radio Mix of 'Bittersweet'? Are you a fan of the original? Use the space below to have your say.

Sophie baught out some amazing tracks and had some amazing songs n all her albums, she just never got the recognition she deserved. Shes the only one whos stayed true to her english roots after how many years of fame and its nice to see she's keeping her accent strong! Hopefully Heartbreak Make Me A Dancer will have gotten alot of peoples attention and they will give her more time, to listen to her music in the future! Good luck Sophie!

I love the revised intro and effects on this version of the Freemasons mix, they fit perfectly along with the music video (The actual FM radio mix doesn't have them I think). The Freemasons mix should be played on the radio and the music video aired should be the original version. :) Nevertheless they're both amazing, can't wait for the album! <3

she so unique, original, talented, so pretty, she deserves much bigger success, it's a shame who is more popular then her! Bittersweet rocks!
