It's a truth, it's a fact, we were gone and now we're back... and to make amends we promise you big meaty chart updates for the rest of the week, beginning with the veritable man-sized tasting platter below.

  • JLS are on course to make it four number ones out of five with 'Love You More', holding Take That's 'The Flood' and Rihanna's 'Only Girl (In The World)' into second and third.

  • Ellie Goulding's 'Your Song' is in fourth, with Katy Perry's 'Firework' completing the top five.

  • Right behind? Far East Movement with their US chart-topper 'Like A G6' and Black Eyed Peas with their, ahem, opinion-splitting newbie 'The Time (Dirty Bit)'.

  • All of which means, of course, that Westlife's 'Safe' is stalled at number eight.

  • Rihanna's also right outside the top 25 with 'What's My Name?' - number one in the US at the moment - and Hurts are a place inside the top 35 with 'Stay'.

  • Take That, as you may have heard, are storming the albums chart with Progress, outselling their nearest rival - Miss Fenty's Loud - by more than six to one. Andre Rieu's Moonlight Serenade is at three, with Bruce Springsteen's The Promise and Pink's Greatest Hits... So Far!!! rounding off the top five.

  • But what about Shayne Ward's Obsessions? Well, it's currently a kitten's whisker outside the top ten.

So, are we forgiven? Hurrah! We just knew you wouldn't hold a grudge.
