The Saturdays new single: What do we know?
Published Thursday, Apr 7 2011, 09:51 BST | By Robert Copsey | 8 comments
In their three years as a collective, The Saturdays have never been ones to hang about. Fresh off their 'Headlines!' tour, the band recently announced they are to hit the road again later this year, which can only mean one thing: a new album. Question is, can their third full opus spawn the number one hit the band have much-longed for? Little is known about the LP's impending trailer single, but what do we know about it thus far?
The single is produced by Steve Mac, who exec produced their Headlines! EP, as well as their hit single 'Ego' from Wordshaker.
The track is written by Ina Wroldsen, best known for penning 'Up' and 'Higher' for the group, as well as 'Hush Hush' for the Pussycat Dolls, Pixie Lott's 'Gravity' and Shontelle's 'Impossible'.
They've shot the music video in LA, the location of their second-best promo 'Higher' (the best, of course, being 'Work').
They describe the song as "different" on their Twitter page, while Rochelle was a bit more specific, adding "fierce".
We've been reliably informed that the girls are aiming for a May/June release.
Discussing the album, Mollie King told us back in July last year that they've been working on a number of tracks with Taio Cruz and Alphabeat.
Speaking of which, Mollie is sporting a new hairdo for the occasion:
