JLS: Take A Chance On Me
This week's chart update saw JLS on course to pick up their sixth UK number one, while Susan Boyle looked likely to score her third consecutive number one album.

Ahead of Sunday's official chart, Digital Spy takes a look at Friday's midweeks.

  • JLS's 'Take A Chance On Me' has now been overtaken by Rihanna's 'We Found Love'. Can they snatch the lead back in time for Sunday?

  • Elsewhere in the top ten, Pixie Lott has slipped from seven to eight with 'What Do You Take Me For?', while Maroon 5's 'Moves Like Jagger' rounds out the top ten.

  • Florence and the Machine: 'Shake It Out'
  • Further down the chart, Florence + the Machine continue to enjoy their post-X Factor success, with 'Shake It Out' at 12, while Loick Essien is at 14 with 'Me Without You' and Bruno Mars's 'It Will Rain' climbs from 16 to 15.

  • Maverick Sabre slides from 14 to 17 with 'I Need', while Tinchy Stryder's 'Off The Record' sits at 23.

  • On the albums chart, Subo continues to lead with Someone To Watch Over Me, followed by Florence + the Machine's Ceremonials and Cher Lloyd's Sticks + Stones at two and three respectively.

  • The Wanted
  • The Wanted hold on at four with Battleground, and Birdy slips from nine to 13 with Birdy.

  • Next week's single releases include One Direction's 'Gotta Be You', The Saturdays' 'Heart Takes Over', Westlife's 'Lighthouse' and the Children in Need single 'Teardrop', while JLS's Jukebox and Pixie Lott's Young, Foolish, Happy will be battling it out on the album chart.
