Sunday chart predictions: X Factor, Olly Murs

Wednesday's official chart update saw the X Factor finalists on course to top the singles tally, while Olly Murs stormed into the lead on the albums chart. Ahead of Sunday's announcement, Digital Spy looks at the final midweeks.

The X Factor finalists - with a little help from JLS and One Direction - remain in the lead with 'Wishing On A Star', while Olly Murs remains at two with 'Dance With Me Tonight'.

Following her X Factor performance last week, Jessie J's 'Who You Are' is at eight, and Drake and Rihanna's 'Take Care' completes the top ten.

Meanwhile, Jason Derulo's 'Fight For You' has advanced from Wednesday's position of 21 to 17, Lady GaGa is at 18 with 'Marry The Night', and Emeli Sande's 'Daddy' dips from 18 to 21.

The Pogues and Kirsty MacColl's 'Fairytale of New York' enters at 28, Beyonce's 'Love in Top' zooms from 34 to 30, and Mariah Carey's 'All I Want For Christmas Is You' advances from 39 to 31.

On the albums chart, Olly Murs remains at the top with In Case You Didn't Know, followed by Michael Buble's Christmas and Rihanna's Talk That Talk in that order.

Il Divo's 'Wicked Game' is at number five, Adele's 21 lifts from nine to six, and JLS's Jukebox shifts from 11 to ten.

Joe McElderry's Christmas is at 13, and Jessie J's Who You Are climbs to 22.

Next week's single releases include Katy Perry's 'The One That Got Away', Matt Cardle's 'Starlight' and T-Pain's '5 O'Clock', while Rebecca Ferguson's Heaven and Amy Winehouse's posthumous LP Hidden Treasures will be vying for number one on the albums chart.
