Azealia Banks: 'Liquorice'
The 20-year-old rapper received a truck-load of critical acclaim for her first cut '212', so we imagine the pressure was on for its follow-up. However, 'Liquorice' continues Banks's combo of head-turning rhymes over '90s house beats that is destined to gain her more fans and praise. LC

Lana Del Rey: 'National Anthem'
A number of Lana songs have appeared online since her hype machine kicked into overdrive before Christmas, but this bouncy and anthemic tracks easily stands head and shoulders above the rest. She may have said it's only a demo, but the good news is that it will appear on her debut album Born To Die at the end of the month. RC

After three studio albums, Canadian folk songstress Kathleen Edwards is finally attempting to crack these shores with her latest LP Voyager on January 23. Produced by Bon Iver, the record has already received rave reviews from critics; and judging from this soothing country-rock lead cut, it's easy to see why. RC

The artist formerly known as Frankmusik has kickstarted 2012 with new moniker Vincent Did It and unveiled 'Dynamo' as the first cut to come from his new guise. EJ: 'Mama I'm Gonna Sing'
Little is known about this London-Swedish singer, but her musical genealogy - which ranges from gospel to grime - is enough to get us excited. While this taster track displays her wonderfully rich vocals, expect Katy B and Example-esque pop-dance tunes from her forthcoming album. RC
Lonsdale Boys Club: 'Sista Shake'
Signed to Gary Barlow's Future Records label, rising rock band Lonsdale Boys Club are hoping 2012 will be their year. And by the sound of their first single 'Light Me Up' and recently released album track 'Sista Shake', they've decided against using any of his dodgy Take That reject material for themselves. The group's debut album is due out later this year.
