The Script ft. will.i.am: 'Hall of Fame' (out September 2)
The Irish band have returned with a rousing piano-led anthem that employs the services of Voice UK pal will.i.am. It's the first cut to be lifted from the group's aptly titled third studio album #3. LC
The xx: 'Angels' (out now)
We weren't sure on The xx's new song on first listen; the barely-there production felt almost underwhelming given the hype surrounding their new LP. That said, on further spins it turns into a beautifully intimate number that's also strangely hypnotic. RC
Plan B: 'Playing With Fire' (out now)
Plan B's hard-hitting lyrics from the estate are flanked by Labrinth's soulful tones on the chorus, resulting in modern, effective and accessible political discourse. LC
Jessie Ware: 'Wildest Moments' (out August 13)
Singer-songwriter Jessie Ware has seen her star rise considerably in recent months. But while the first track 'Running' proved a slow burner with the public, her new single 'Wildest Moments' is probably the most instant - albeit subtly addictive - from her debut LP 'Devotion'. RC
Green Day: 'Oh Love' (out September 23)
In their 25-year career, Green Day have proven time and again their ability to turn out an exciting piece of stadium rock. Their latest single, which trails the first of a three-album series, is a suitably epic number that'll have you chanting along well before the five-minute finish line. RC
Ciara: 'Overdose' (release date tbc)
After going back to her R&B roots on 2010's Basic Instinct, Ciara heads up her new LP One Woman Army with a more chart-friendly sound; she blends bouncy electro beats with her breathy vocals. RC
Ronan Keating: 'Fires' (out September 2)
The Boyzone favourite has returned with his first original material as a solo artist in six years. He's teamed up with the creators of popular hit 'Life Is A Rollercoaster' for his collection and if new cut 'Fires' is anything go by, you can expect more stirring guitars and arena-filling choruses. LC
JoJo: 'Demonstrate' (release date tbc)
JoJo claims she read Fifty Shades Of Grey after recording this track, but with its sensual R&B undertones and blush-inducing lyrics, the track will give the raunchy novel a run for its money. LC
Two Door Cinema Club: 'Sleep Alone' (out now)
Alex Trimble and co are back with their trademark mix of summery riffs and giant choruses. It marks the start of new album Beacon, which will be released on September 3. LC
Chew Lips: 'Hurricane' (out September 3)
Following their online hit 'Do You Chew?' earlier this year, Chew Lips are back with the lead single from their second studio set. 'Hurricane' is a deliciously dark slice of electro with an addictive, '80s-inspired chorus. RC
