Playlist: 10 tracks you need to hear

By and Lewis Corner
Listen to our ten favourite new songs below, including Ke$ha, Little Mix, Example, Foxes and Hot Natured.

Ke$ha: 'Die Young' (out November 18)
Leading her second studio album Warrior - out on December 3 - Ke$ha has put out 'Die Young', which picks up neatly from 2010's Animal as she instructs us to down plenty of shots and generally party ourselves into oblivion. Fortunately, nobody else does it better. RC

Little Mix: 'DNA' (out November 11)
Some might say that Little Mix's performance of 'E.T.' on last year's X Factor was the turning point for their success, so it's no wonder producers have looked to the track for influence when it comes to the group's title cut 'DNA'. Spooky synths, pumping heartbeats and a gothic choir finale make this pop perfection. LC

Example: 'Close Enemies' (out November 11)
Elliott Gleave may not have a clue what the song is about as he originally wrote it with Rihanna in mind, but his latest track keeps his promise of rock-meets-electronic pop. Good job he has an arena tour coming up as this one sounds like it's primed for a big crowd. LC

A*M*E: 'Play The Game Boy' (out November 4)
It's already been given the seal of approval from Gary Barlow, but don't let that put you off, because the latest track from A*M*E is very good indeed. Insanely addictive choruses and K-pop inspired melodies aside, it feels fresher than anything else on this week's chart. RC

Hot Natured: 'Benediction' (out October 29)
Fresh from a summer in Ibiza, Hot Natured's 'Benediction' is a smooth blend of breezy Balaeric synths and beats that will keep you reminiscing of warmer climates through these chillier times. LC

Foxes: 'Echo' (out November 11)
Louisa Rose Allen aka Foxes adds to her small but already extremely impressive collection of tracks with the release 'Echo', a subtle pop gem with a chorus that grows on the ears with each listen. For those keen to see her live, she'll be supporting Marina and the Diamonds on a number of UK tour dates as well as playing a one-off gig in London on October 23. RC

Lana Del Rey: 'Ride' (out November 11)
The moody songstress heads up the re-release of her debut album Born To Die with 'Ride', a soaring doom-ballad that immediately feels more polished than anything on its parent LP. Fortunately, it feels all the better for it. RC

Rihanna: 'Diamonds' (out now)
With Rihanna's last two lead singles ('Only Girl' and 'We Found Love') being fully fledged club stormers, it's fair to say the public were half expecting the hat-trick. However, Rihanna has slowed it right down for the start of her seventh(!) era with a floaty but powerful ballad and we think it's one of the best decisions she's ever made. LC

Madeon: 'The City' (out October 8)
18-year-old French DJ Madeon has had quite the year. With worldwide successes 'Icarus' and 'Finale' under his belt, the up'n'comer offers another funky, bouncing dance anthem with 'This City'. Big beats and an even bigger melody will make this a hit among crowds when he supports Lady GaGa next year. LC

Fleur & Cutline: 'Broken Mirrors' (out now)
22-year-old Fleur is a singer who has already had her fingers in several musical pies; from entering The X Factor with a group of friends at 16, to singing backing vocals for Leona Lewis, to touring with DJ Fresh. Now, she's taking aim at the charts with 'Broken Mirrors', a wobbly grime anthem dominated by her soulful voice. RC
