Playlist: 10 tracks you need to hear

By and Lewis Corner
Listen to our ten favourite new songs below, including Ke$ha, Girls Aloud, Jakwob and Dragonette.

Ke$ha: 'C'mon' (release date tbc)
"It's a full moon tonight, so we're getting rowdy," Ke$ha insists on her latest track. Given her non-stop partying ways we're surprised she needs an excuse for another glitter-fuelled orgy, but at least it results in another glorious neon-pop gem. RC

Girls Aloud: 'Beautiful 'Cause You Love Me' (November 26)
Like all Girls Aloud ballads, this one takes a few listens to really sink in. But once it has, a floating chorus and a sterling vocal performance from Nicola Roberts makes it rather enjoyable.

will.i.am ft. Britney Spears: 'Scream & Shout' (release date tbc)
Pop music fans should be well aware at this point that will.i.am's songs take a few listens to grow on the ears. As such, on first hearing his latest hookup with Britney on 'Scream & Shout', we'll admit the whole thing was a bit confusing. However, repeated listens reveal it to be a surprisingly catchy robo-pop stomper. RC

Rihanna ft. Kanye: 'Diamonds' (N/A)
It's been a huge hit already, but that hasn't stopped Riri looking to Kanye to add more drama on 'Diamonds' - and did he just mention the Illuminati? LC

Sub Focus: 'Tidal Wave' (out now)
Flicking synths, tumbling beats and Alpine's wistful vocal make this one of Sub Focus's most addictive cuts to date, and proves that electronic music isn't on its way out just yet.

Kelly Clarkson: 'People Like Us' (out November 26)
We're still enjoying her current single 'Catch My Breath', which trails her greatest hits album later this month, but we're more than happy for Kelly Clarkson to unveil more new tracks from the retrospective. 'People Like Us' is a similar electro-thumper with a breezy, sing-songy chorus that only Kelly knows how. RC

Wiz Khalifa ft. The Weeknd: 'Remember You' (out December 2)
The Pittsburgh rapper has called in Canadian R&B star The Weeknd for vocal duties on his latest track, which is a spacey, atmospheric number that shows significant growth since last year's Rolling Papers. His second album O.N.I.F.C follows on December 3. RC

Macklemore & Ryan Lewis: 'Thrift Shop' (release date tbc)
After a string of unsuccessful singles, Ben Haggerty aka Macklemore finally scored a hit album in the States last month with the help of producer/director/DJ Ryan Lewis. What's more, their latest single 'Thrift Shop' - an addictive slice of comedy rap - is steadily finding success across the globe. RC

Jakwob: 'Blinding' (out now)
Herefordian producer Jakwob has come a long way since his bootleg remix of Ellie Goulding's 'Starry Eyed' - counting remixes for Usher, Lana Del Rey and Jessie J among his accomplishments. His new single with vocalist Rocky Nti fuses dubstep wobbles and soft piano with impressive results. LC

Dragonette: 'Merry Xmas (Says Your Text Message)' (released November 20)
Each year brings another collection of festive hit reworkings, so it's refreshing when an artist records their own original Christmas tracks. Dragonette are on hand this year to offer an electronic-pop festive ditty, complete with a sing-along chorus and a bell-shake here and there. LC
