Playlist: 10 tracks you need to hear

By and Lewis Corner
Listen to our ten favourite new songs this week, including Rudimental, The Other Tribe, 50 Cent and Skylar Grey.

Rudimental ft. Angel Haze: 'Hell Could Freeze Over' (out now as a free
download)

Following a successful year with their chart-topping hit 'Feel The Love' and follow-up 'Not Giving In', Rudimental have teamed up with rising US rapper Angel Haze for their latest track. Although it's one of their more subdued efforts to date, Haze's tongue-twisting flows make it worth a listen. LC

50 Cent ft. Eminem, Adam Levine: 'My Life' (release date tbc)
After 18 months of delays, 50 Cent is finally gearing up to unveil his fifth studio album. The rapper has teamed up with mentor Eminem and Maroon 5's Adam Levine for a soul-rap cut, which sees Fiddy return with one of his best tracks in years. LC

The Other Tribe: 'Sing With Your Feet' (out February 2)
The collective follow up their late summer smash 'Skirts' with 'Sing With Your Feet'; a slice of jangly electro with airy vocals that follows a similar template to its predecessor. RC

Skylar Grey ft. Eminem: 'C'mon Let Me Ride' (release date tbc)
After last year's 'Invisible' failed to do the business in the charts, Skylar Grey will be hoping a hook-up with Eminem, a string of bratty expletives and a sample of Queen's 'Bicycle Race' will ensure her success this time out. RC

Tegan and Sara: 'Closer' (out now)
Twin sisters Tegan and Sara have continually edged closer to international breakthrough status for a few years now. After accumulating an impressive fanbase across the world, the Canadian duo have opted for a poppier cut this time out, which can only be described as a Katy Perry anthem on steroids. LC

JoJo: 'Andre' (out now)
The singer's reinvention continues with the release of her mixtape Agápē. Trailer cut 'Andre' finds her comparing her lover to Andre 3000 (as you do), substituting pop-rock guitars for smooth and bouncy R&B beats. RC

The Good Natured: '5-HT' (out March 11)
After a string of well-received EPs, The Good Natured are hoping to break into the mainstream with '5-HT'; a piece of indie-electro with a chorus built for a sweaty dancefloor. RC

Fryars: 'In My Arms' (released January 13)
After helping out Mika with his latest album, singer-songwriter Fryars has now turned his attention to his own solo EP. The star's latest track to be lifted from the set is a mix of twinkling piano and spacey synths, ramped up by some pacey breakbeats. LC

Prince: 'Rock and Roll Love Affair'
Given the legend has famously shunned YouTube in the past, we were pretty surprised when we stumbled across a music video for his latest track 'Rock and Roll Love Affair' on the site. The track itself is a slice of slinky, live band disco-funk that only Prince knows how. RC

Lovelife: 'Heaven' (December 17)
Following on from the success of their debut EP El Regreso and a number of official remixes for the likes of Maroon 5, Lovelife will release their second collection The Fourth Floor later this month. Lead track 'Heaven' fuses pop-noir synths, hollered beats and angst-charged lyrics, with impressive results. LC
