2012 has seen plenty of success stories in music - from the likes of Emeli Sandé, Lana Del Rey and Paloma Faith as well as international breakthroughs from One Direction, Jessie J and Ed Sheeran.
Sandé takes the accolade for best-selling album of the year with Our Version of Events, which has barely left the top ten since its release in February.
