Chart update: Justin Timberlake, Haim, The Vamps

On Wednesday's chart update, The Vamps were on course for their first UK number one single with 'Can We Dance', while just 700 copies separated Justin Timberlake and Haim for the number one spot on the album chart.

Ahead of Sunday's Official Chart, Digital Spy takes a look at Friday's midweeks.

  • The Vamps are still leading at number one of the singles chart and are currently 6,000 copies ahead of OneRepublic's 'Counting Stars' at two.

  • Jason Derulo's 'Talk Dirty' is at three, Katy Perry's 'Roar' is at four and Chase & Status round off the Top 5 with their new cut 'Count On Me'.

  • Demi Lovato's 'Skyscraper' is still on course for a new chart peak at six, while Dizzee Rascal and will.i.am are at 10 with 'Something Really Bad'.

  • Elsewhere, Lucy Spraggan's 'Last Night (Beer Fear)' is at 19, Two Door Cinema Club are at 29 with 'Changing of the Seasons' and Katy Perry's promo cut 'Dark Horse' is at 38.

  • Over on the album chart, Justin Timberlake's The 20/20 Experience - 2 of 2 remains at number one, but is only 28 copies ahead of Haim's Days Are Gone.

  • Alter Bridge are the second highest new entry at six with Fortress, while Dizzee Rascal is at nine with The Fifth.

  • Sub Focus is just outside the Top 10 at 11 with Torus, while Justin Timberlake's The 20/20 Experience - The Complete Experience double pack is at 19.

  • The Saturdays, Conor Maynard and John Newman all have new singles out next week, while Miley Cyrus will hope to claim her first UK number one album with Bangerz.
