The Sound adopts an indie band

After we secured the blogging talents of All Angels by threatening to break into their house and blow-torch their Il Divo CDs if they didn't switch on their laptops RIGHT THIS MINUTE, The Sound have decided to add to our army of blogging popstars. To that end, we've adopted a lovely new indie band called The Days.

The Days are Dan (bass/vocals), Harry (drums – yes, like the one from McFly), Luke (vocals/piano/guitar) and Tim (guitar). If you look closely at the photo, you'll notice that at least two of them are really quite good-looking. We just popped over to their MySpace page and their jangly, hummable, toe-tapping tunes reminded us a bit of The Kooks, only without the annoying frontman.

Anyway, without further ado, here's their first post:

"So last night we played at the infamous Cavern Club in Exeter. Although we normally refer to Plymouth as home, this was a homecoming show of sorts, especially as lots of family and friends made the colossal 40-minute journey from Ivybridge.

We'd had a day off before the show at home - the first in 2 weeks - so we felt a bit more refreshed and raring to go after a decent night's sleep in our own beds, followed by a day of chilling out at home, and a proper cup of tea - Rock 'n'roll and all that!!!

We were on at the slightly earlier time of 8.30, but the place seemed pretty full and the gig went really well. We made a few minor changes to the set, swapped a few songs around and added a few fancy bits, but we still played the allocated 35-minute slot we've become accustomed to on this tour. And despite a few sound problems and a string breakage, we had a blast!

Next for us is a few days off at home before we fly up to Edinburgh on Tuesday morning to begin our 7 date tour with Rooney..."
