Brits 08: Who's sulking this morning?

Last night The Sound attended the Brit Awards launch party in a trendy corner of north London. We cheered when Leona's name was called out, lost faith in humanity when we saw what had become of the International Group category, and bristled when Kelly Osbourne fluffed another link, forcing us to whoop on demand "for the sake of the TV show" again.
Anyway, now that the dust has settled, we've decided to shine a light on the artists that the Brits forgot. Their day thus far has probably consisted of chucking old Smash Hits gongs at their cleaning lady while screaming "WHO THE F**K IS BAT FOR LASHES?!" Popstars, what are they like, eh?
Britney Spears
Her approach towards pop stardom is too half-arsed to justify an International Female nod, but her Blackout album should have been nominated ahead of Kylie's patchy X collection.
Maroon 5
Wait... come back! It's got to be better than the Eagles, right?
Scouting For Girls
Whatever you think of their slightly repetitive pop ditties, they're more deserving of a British Breakthrough Act nod than Bat For Lashes, who only "broke through" among readers of the trendy broadsheets.
Amy MacDonald
Perhaps there was only room for one dull-but-worthy Scottish songbird in the nominations this year.
Robyn
The spiky Swede is the very embodiment of what an International Female Solo Artist should be in 2008, whereas Feist, for all her iPod-selling capabilities, is not.
McFly, Avril Lavigne and the Gossip won't be feeling on top of the world either, we'd imagine.
What do you think of this year's Brit Awards nominations? Who's been snubbed unfairly? Just hit the usual button to let us know.
