So, what's Robyn like live?

As she ripped into the attitude-packed pop tunes from her Robyn album, her spirits continued to soar. A bombastic version of future single 'Who's That Girl' went down particularly well, while an inspired medley of Neneh Cherry's 'Buffalo Stance' and Salt-n-Pepa's 'Push It' saluted the hip-hop roots of her hard-edged beats. Impressively, the crowd knew every word to the "selfish narcissistic psycho-freakin' bootlicking N**i creep" line from recent single 'Handle Me'. That's a lot of adjectives to remember, especially when you've had a lengthy support slot from a drag queen DJ to drink through.

Robyn ended with an acoustic take on 'Be Mine', a tale of unrequited love that tugged at the heartstrings like the final minutes of a Disney movie. Whether she's making music for the heart or for the feet (or, as is frequently the case, for both), Robyn's sure to wrap every song in a catchy, edgy, super-modern package that sounds tremendous live. The "killingest popstar on the planet"? She's not far off, to be honest.

I went to see Robyn in Manchester last year and she was absolutely amazing. She had so much charisma and attitude, everyone was loving it.

Well I saw Robyn in Edinburgh on Friday (quite a distance to travel) and I have to say she was AMAZING, all the song's were in tune, she was really personable with the audience and everyone was dancing to all the songs and getting into it, when she did 'Eclipse' you can't say people were not attentive as they were all listening, obviously not dancing to a slow song. All in all she was in tune, lively and provided a fantastic performance - massively recommended to go see her live!!!
