14-year-old Samantha-Jane Stacey is one of six athletes who will represent Australia in the world championships, to be held in Estonia next month.
The Gold Coast wrestling ace will be joined by her two sisters Kelsie and Vanessa Homer in the Junior Women's World Sumo Championships.
Samantha-Jane, who has been mastering the skill for the past two years, told goldcoast.com.au: "It's a perfect sport for girls because you have to think on your feet.
"I am so proud to represent my country and I want to keep doing it."
