Two men who broke into a cricket pavilion became sidetracked by the club's alcohol.
The unnamed pair recently entered Rawtenstall Cricket Club and passed out after getting drunk on the club's booze.
When coach Jeff Pickup entered the pavilion the next morning he discovered them asleep with empty bottles and crisp packets strewn across the floor. The men were also wearing club jumpers stolen from the changing rooms.
"The door to the clubhouse was damaged in the break-in. But we can see the funny side," said Brian Payne, chairman of the Lancashire cricket club.
