Relatives barbecue dead woman

The body of an 84-year-old woman has been cremated by her daughter and grandson using a makeshift barbecue.

Ramona Allmond's daughter Kathleen, 50, and grandson Tony Ray, 30, have been arrested for disposing of her remains without a permit.

In addition, the pair were charged on suspicion of embezzlement, as they kept collecting $25,000 (£18,668) worth of her retirement cheques.

While Northern California authorities are still determining the cause of Allmond's death, it is suspected that she died of natural causes, with the accused claiming she passed away in December.
