A teenager left so much mess in her house after hunting for a bikini that her mum contacted the police believing there had been a burglary
Sylvia Reigler's mother thought the family's home in Rheydt, Germany, had been looted, reports Orange.
The 16-year-old was forced to confess to creating the disturbance when she came home to find police investigating the mystery.
"It looked like a classic break-in when we arrived, ornaments had been broken, draws emptied and furniture upended," said a police spokesperson. "It was chaos, but there was no sign of forced entry."
Reigler commented: "My mum is always going on at me about the mess I make and I admit that I am a bit untidy. But I really didn't think I had caused so much mess."
