A dog that was left in his owner's van ended up taking the wheel and driving into a cafe.
No-one was injured when Bentley managed to put the motor in gear and crashed into the Long Island coffee shop.
Owner Bryan Maher, 60, told the New York Daily News: "I ran inside the coffee house to sign up for open-mike night, and I left my car running because it was cold outside and I didn't want my dog to freeze.
"The next thing I knew, I looked up to see my van coming at me in the window, with Bentley in the driver's seat grinning at me."
Shop owner Patricia McCarthy said she was astonished to see Bentley coming towards them in the 1992 Ford van.
The shop front and some outside furniture were damaged in the incident, after which Maher said: "This is the first and last time I'll ever put the car in park. He's a smart dog obviously - he can drive a van."
