Shanghai launches pyjama crackdown

A Shanghai community has reportedly launched a crackdown on the wearing of pyjamas in public.
Officials on The Neighbourhood Committee in the district of Rixin were quoted in local media as saying the "visual pollution" should be stopped as it "looks very uncivilised".
The decision has apparently divided opinion, with one local resident saying: "Pyjamas are also a type of clothes. It's comfortable, and it's no big deal."
Wearing pyjamas in public is commonplace in some areas of China, with a smart pair serving to indicate wealth.
