44-year-old Andy Park, who goes by the moniker 'Mr Christmas', has been picking up cheap festive decorations from his local Woolies to display all year.
"I don't care about bad luck. I've had no bad luck for the last 15 years, except not winning the lottery. I've been to BHS, M&S, and, of course, Woolies and got myself £1,000-worth of decorations for just £80," he said.
"The great thing about Woolies is that they used to be the first people on the high street to sell tinsel so they were very valuable to me. I went there last week with £20 and I got 18 lights, a swinging Santa and a whole load of silver and blue decorations."
However, Park revealed his disappointment at seeing Woolies close down, saying: "It is very sad to see them shutting the doors. I've been visiting Woolies in Melksham as long as I've been celebrating Christmas. Who can forget their pick and mix?"
