115-year-old delights in sweets and bacon

The world's oldest person has named bacon, sweets, and watching Jerry Springer as the things in life which make her happy.

Gertrude Baines, 115, celebrated her milestone birthday at the Western Convalescent Hospital in Los Angeles surrounded by friends and staff, reports People.

Baines said life's simple pleasures make her happy, such as extra crispy bacon, sweets, and regular viewings of The Price Is Right and Jerry Springer.

Nurse Cynthia Thompson, who has looked after her for nine years, said Baines shies away from the tile of the oldest living person. "Of all the people in the world, why do I have to be the one? I didn't ask for this," Thompson quotes her as saying.
