Cinema warns OAPs about unruly behaviour

A cinema has been forced to issue warning letters to its elderly customers following claims that they have been displaying "juvenile" behaviour.

Leicester's Odeon cinema screens classic films specifically for pensioners every week but was forced to take action following a number of complaints.

Patrons were reprimanded for threatening, pushing, poking, bullying, harassing and intimidating staff, saving seats for friends and queue jumping, reports The Daily Telegraph.

Some Senior Screen regulars were also known to "line multiple pockets of clothing and Tupperware boxes with biscuits" from the complimentary tea service, the letter claimed.

A spokesman for Odeon Cinemas said that the letter had been handed out in response to several requests. "Odeon Leicester would like to reassure guests the letter was only issued in an attempt to ensure everybody could continue to enjoy the same positive experience at Senior Screen performances," he added.
