The edible gold-leaf covered special edition bar priced at £961.48 - the precise value of its weight in the precious metal - was delivered to Selfridges by Spandau Ballet frontman Tony Hadley.
Hadley said: "Wispa Gold is a great product that so many fans want to see back on the shelf and the money is going to a really good cause."
Proceeds from the sale of the one-off bar will be donated to the UK Lowe Syndrome Trust, of which Hadley is patron.
Spandau Ballet had a number two hit in 1983 with the single 'Gold', taken from their triple-platinum chart-topping album True.
Facebook 'Bring Back Wispa' group administrator Cara Stripp was charged with pushing the button to start production on the line of the standard Wispa Gold bars.
